I wanted to update you on the Confirmation for Adults Sunday school class!
The original intent of the class was to provide the opportunity for you to learn what your students are learning at the same time, so that you could be equipped for follow-up with your student.
After giving this a shot for one semester very good feedback was received and led to some reformatting of the class. I am very excited about the new format! Now the class will be more interesting to ALL PARENTS of teenagers!
There will be 3 emphases throughout the semester.
1. Every 4-6 weeks the class will do an overview of the upcoming 4-6 sessions from the confirmation curriculum. This will equip parents of middle school students with discussion questions and follow up activities to utilize in their discipleship.
2. In the other weeks, we’ll use “Parenting Your Teenager” by Drs. Les and Leslie Parrot throughout the semester. Topics from this include: identity, turmoil, rebellion, legacy, and discipling your teenager.
3. In addition, we will have discussions on different parenting related topics that connect with the lessons from the “Parenting Your Teenager” series.
These lessons are all set up to be free-standing, so come when you can! Grab a cup of coffee or other beverage and join us in the Student Center as we walk through some of the challenges of parenting teenagers.

16th: Parenting Your Teenager: Identity .... meets in the Student Center
23rd: Parenting Your Teenager: The Tool Box .... meets in the Student Center
Celebrating Growth:
30th: Communicating with Your Teen: Opening the lines of communication ... meets in the Student Center
